Company Driver
The trucks are based out of Amboy, MN and the truck must return to the
yard every weekend. The truck can be based out of somewhere else within
60 miles of Amboy during the week if needed.
Our positions typically include a mix of local and regional work,
depending on the season. For example, belly dump work in the summer,
hopper work in the winter, and dry vans in the spring.
The right driver will be willing to pull multiple types of trailers,
sometimes two or three in the same week. 95% of freight is company
direct accounts developed over 35 years of business.
Schedule Details
- Some weeks will be back to Amboy daily
- Other trips will require 1-2 nights a week in the truck
- Some weeks will be Monday through Friday in the truck
- Winter is our busiest time of the year

Home on weekends, one Saturday our Sunday a month required, more
available for increased income
- Be willing to leave the yard by 5am or earlier daily
Compensation

Base hourly pay is $22.50 an hour for construction work, raise
dicussed after 6 months
- Prevailing wage on certain jobs

25% of each load while pulling hopper and dry vans, raise in percentage at 6-month intervals depending on performance, cap at 30%

Drivers make between $60,000 and $75,000 a year, more possible if
desired
- Starting pay can increase with experience

Driver Requirements
- Valid CDL
- 2 years tractor experience
- 21 years or old
- No moving violations in past 5 years
- Ability to run a palled jack inside the trailer
- Ability to climb inside and clean our hoppers and belly dumps
- Show up on time
- Complete all paperwork on time
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening

Grover Farm is looking to continue to expand out fleet to meet new customer contracts. Started in 1982, we are a multi-generation family-run trucking company out of Amboy, MN. Our primary industries are feed ingredients and seed products throughout the surrounding 5 states around Minnesota. We operate hopper bottom and dry vans.

Schedule
Winter is our busiest time of the year- getting seed products out the door. The summer is our slowest time of the year with most people taking vacations with their families. Some weeks will be home daily and other weeks will be gone Monday-Friday. We do not do resets on the road, home every weekend with occasional weekend work for extra income.
Compensation
- 80% of gross load revenue when you haul one of our trailers and haul under our authority
- Any fuel surcharges on loads go directly to the Owner/Operator
- Any detention or stop fees go directly to the Owner/Operator
- Average of $225,000 a year to the Owner/Operator, some make less but are home more, up to the O/O
